Patrol vascillated wildly between so boring it made him want to jump off a cliff - not that that would kill him but it would be some diversion - and so insane that he also wanted to jump off a cliff. There was no winning here. This time, though, it was neither; just lively enough to get some action in but nothing that taxed Balthazar's (rather incredible, if he did say so himself) abilities.
As agreed upon, he stopped off at the new roadhouse on his way home, his overzealous hellhound companion nipping at his heels. With a fond(ish) curse, he waved the hellhound off and stepped into the bar.
"Jo?" He made his way to the bar, intending to pour himself a glass of something. "I'm not dead." He rounded the bar and peeked toward the back door when she didn't immediately answer - she was likely outside on such a beautiful day - and stopped in his tracks.
"But you might be," he said, the lightness of his words at odds with the strangled tone in his voice, as he caught sight of her. He didn't bother with anything as mundane as walking; he fluttered into the space next to her, kneeling and reaching for her temple. A quick sigh at her state of not-dead-yet and he touched her temple, golden light shimmering and fading in a moment as he healed the bump and gash."Jo?"
Healing.Just one of the many benefits of having an angel...boyfriend? Mate? She wasn't entirely sure what label the two of them had. Just that they worked together, better than anything she could have hoped for. She loved the cranky guy, that's what was important, and she was pretty damned sure he loved her as well.
She opened her eyes blinking rapidly at Balthazar suddenly there and saying her name. There was the very very faint feeling of an ache where the wound was and she brought her hand up lightly touching the now healed spot. " Hey there good looking." she said with a smile " When'd you get here?" though she was flirting, her eyes went from him eyeing the water faucet spout suspiciously. " Did anything..." she wasn't quite sure exactly if she'd just imagined it, or if there really was some kind of new and particularly disgusting creature a foot.
She shot him a half cocked grin. " Never mind, I am sure it was nothing."
"Nothing," he repeated blandly as he helped her sit up. Her head would be fine; in truth, it wasn't that bad to begin with. He made sure she was steady, then reached for the rock sitting beside her.
And, no, he wasn't touching that. The blood didn't bother him, but what that disgusting snot was wasn't coming near him.

He motioned to the rock. "So you tripped?"
